My Name is Linda Washburn Roberts
- I am a landscape, nature and fine art photographer
Spending time exploring with my camera feeds my soul, whether in a city or on country backroads, and inspires a deep appreciation for the endless cycle of natural life, from trees huge enough to hold centuries to the briefest of insects. This inspiration enables me to find beauty in humans' desire and ability to discover our own spirituality in this world that surrounds us. Although primarily a nature photographer, I also find the desire of humans to create beauty using manmade materials to be very inspiring. I look for details in my subject matter as well as how light affects objects or a scene. That inspires me to create images that tell a story or evoke an emotion. When you look at my work and can see that story, or a piece of your own truth, I feel I have succeeded as a photographer and artist.
I continually challenge myself as an artist by learning new techniques and experimenting with different ways to bring the emotion of a piece forward. I think of my finished work as more than just an image – it is a mood, a feeling, a breath. I love finding that place where an image can come to life – where it can truly breathe.
I hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
